Created for the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, this transparent stage sphere became a striking visual focus within the production of La Traviata. Suspended above the performers, it transformed through changing light and colour throughout the performance.
The project included technical development, fabrication and assembly of the spherical structure and surrounding ring. The construction drawing specifies a diameter of approximately two metres, requiring precise engineering for safe suspension and theatrical use.
The finished element combined transparent materials, structural metalwork and stage lighting to create a sculptural object that could interact visually with the performers and the wider stage environment.
