Created for the International Garden Show 2013, this installation explores the possibility of gardening beyond Earth. A spherical structure represents a seed capsule and contains a miniature landscape beneath a transparent dome.
The project imagines capsules being released across the surface of Mars. As environmental conditions gradually improve, the seeds begin to germinate and a young meadow emerges from the barren ground. The installation combines sculpture, landscape design and speculative storytelling to examine humanity’s relationship with nature and space.
